The BASIC STRUCTURE of our SPANISH PROGRAM offers:
- A combination of Language Instruction plus Cultural Immersion Activities, including Volunteer Community Service, Special Lectures and Field Trips, and free & optional Weekend Excursions to our lakes, volcanoes and pacific beaches.
- We invite students and participants to a truly memorable experience by learning Spanish, and getting immersed in the Nicaraguan culture, feeling as a native, living with host families in Granada and/or staying at budget hotels when more privacy is required.
Nevertheless, we can help you organize a different trip every time. If your University, College, High School,or Language School has specific interests besides studying Spanish, we can make arrangements to customize your own Study Abroad Program in Nicaragua.
As examples, we can offer a combination of Spanish instruction plus lectures on Human Rights and field trips related to this issue. Or you might choose: Spanish & Environmental Education; Spanish & Healthcare; Spanish, Literature & Popular Culture; Spanish, Politics & Religion; Spanish & Women´s Issues, etc….

Nicaraguan Educational Programs
Irene Arévalo- born (1961) in Granada, Nicaragua, has a background in International Marketing and a Master´s degree in the U.S.A. at Florida International University in Tourism Management. Irene has experience working with various international companies while living in Miami, Florida during the 1980´s. She is a founder member for the successful Granada International Poetry Festival (celebrated each February in Granada, Nicaragua), a board of director member for two local NGO´s in Granada, ex-Minister of Tourism in Nicaragua, and motivated to create an intercultural bridge between Nicaragua and people around the world.
